The General’s Handbook 2026-2027 contains rules and battle tactics for Matched Play games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar. It’s the battlepack that tournament organisers will use as the basis for event packs for the 2026/27 season.
In the wake of the Hour of Ruin, the fighting has moved to Aqshy, and as war is fought amidst the ashes, warriors feel the rage rise within. To represent the primal anger that the Realm of Fire nurtures in everyone, the General’s Handbook introduces new fury and rage rules.
At the beginning of battle, your forces are slightly pumped up.
As your fury increases, it can lead to an outbreak of unbridled rage.
When you’ve acquired a nice pile of rage dice, you have two choices – use them on the attack to cause more damage in an Eruption of Fury, or use them on defence to Fight Through the Pain.
The General’s Handbook also contains the Core Rules, 12 brand new battleplans, new battle tactics cards, and six bespoke objective markers. There are also rules for launching an Aqshian Crusade – a way to connect your games together into a narrative campaign, which can be used at a tournament or just at home.
